Laela Begley

Originally from Elgin, Laela Begley is entering her sophomore year at Oklahoma State University, where she is pursuing degrees in agricultural communications and animal science. With a strong passion for connecting people to the livestock industry, Laela is passionate about building relationships and sharing the story of agriculture through communication, leadership, and hands-on experience.

Laela’s passion for agriculture has inspired her to explore the countless opportunities within the industry that allow her to expand both her knowledge and professional skill set. Through networking, industry involvement, and experiential learning, she continues to develop a deeper understanding of the agricultural field while creating meaningful connections with producers, students, and professionals. Her interests in livestock production and agricultural advocacy have motivated her to seek experiences that strengthen her ability to communicate the importance of agriculture to diverse audiences.

Since arriving at Oklahoma State University, Laela has fully embraced campus involvement and leadership opportunities. She is actively involved within her sorority and participates in several organizations throughout the Ferguson College of Agriculture, where she enjoys collaborating with fellow students who share similar passions for the agricultural industry. Through these experiences, Laela has continued to grow both personally and professionally while preparing for a future career dedicated to serving and promoting agriculture.
